City Manager
Welcome to the City Manager’s office!
The City Manager is appointed by the City Council and serves as the City’s chief administrative officer, bridging policy and daily operations. The City Manager provides strategic oversight, direction, and guidance to effectively coordinate and implement policies, programs, and services adopted by the City Council.
The City Manager appoints department directors (except the City Attorney) and ensures the health and welfare of the public by delivering quality, responsive, cost-effective services that enhance quality of life for all residents and stakeholders.
A key responsibility involves developing and implementing the City’s annual budget in partnership with the City Council, ensuring fiscal responsibility while meeting community needs and priorities.
The City Manager oversees diverse functions including Human Resources, Risk Management, intergovernmental relations, waste management and cable television franchise agreements, and recycling programs. Through strategic leadership and collaborative partnerships, the City Manager works to build a stronger, more vibrant community while maintaining operational excellence and transparency in all municipal services.
