SOLARAPP+ AUTOMATED PLAN REVIEWS The City of Seal Beach has partnered with SolarAPP+ to streamline the permit process for eligible small solar projects. SolarAPP+ is designed to provide a code-compliance check for the majority of residential, roof-mounted, retrofit photovoltaic systems. SolarAPP+ users must be a licensed contractor and must be added to the SolarAPP+ program eligibility list prior to submission to the City. Individual users in Leisure World shall obtain Golden Rain Foundation permits to the City prior to submission on SolarAPP+.
SUBMIT FOR AUTOMATED REVIEW THROUGH SOLARAPP+ 1. To start using SolarAPP+, register and submit your design through the SolarAPP+ Webpage 2. A processing fee will be charged by SolarAPP+. 3. Download the approved plans. APPLY FOR A SEAL BEACH PERMIT 1. Once plans are approved, applicants must apply for a building permit from the City. Contractors must have an active Seal Beach Business license. To apply renew, pay, and update information for your business license please click here. 2.
